Bye Bye Black Sheep is the inspirational true-life story of Jose Bonilla Flores, a man who rose from a painful childhood to become a deeply spiritual and caring person. Jose grew up in a heavily abusive household in Los Angeles, and between that and growing up on the unforgiving streets without formal education, he’s determined to be different than his abusers. Jose has had incredible spiritual experiences since childhood, but remained confused about the meaning of life until returning to his church in 1994. Now he believes that his harsh upbringing molded him into the man he has become, a stalwart, faithful servant of the Lord, and he is grateful for everything he experienced. Desiring to help children who have grown up in abusive situations like his own, he and his family have fostered 148 children and adopted two. He intends to continue helping children for as long as he’s needed. He continues to have visits from great men of the church. Many of his visits occurred at the Payson and Santaquin Cemetery.
